Objectives 

The overall aim of this module is to enable the application of programme specific knowledge and skills to analyse and solve a business challenge relevant to an external client organisation and in doing so enhance project management and consultancy skills. Specific objectives of the module are:

  • To enable students to develop a detailed understanding of the application of sustainability leadership theory and the arising challenges to resolve organisational issues in an action learning environment
  • To develop students’ abilities in managing projects, client relationships, diverse sets of stakeholders and enhancing their team working skills.
  • To develop students’ abilities as learning managers, enabling them to continuously reflect and develop their formal and informal learning throughout their future careers.

Learning outcomes

Students will have:

  • Knowledge and understanding of theory and practice in sustainability leadership within the particular context of the project scope.
  • Development of skills for managing projects, client relationships, influencing, team working and communicating with a diverse set of stakeholders.
  • Ability to analyse and draw reasoned conclusions and use appropriate data collection and analysis tools to tackle each individual organisational challenge.
