Stirling Institute for People-Centred Healthcare Management

The Institute provides a Scottish and international focus for both research and learning activities in people-centred healthcare management. It does this by working in partnership with the Scottish NHS, with social, health and welfare organisations, in all sectors in the UK and around the world and with all communities and groups.

The Institute is particularly concerned with notions of public service and public provision, recognising and respecting the influence of markets yet taking a wider perspective that also seeks to learn from and through international experiences.

The Institute was selected to deliver part of the NHS Scotland Management Training, scheme, training tomorrow’s leaders of NHS Scotland: the activities are intended to create a virtuous circle of research, learning and knowledge exchange spanning academics and practitioners.
