My Account is the section within the Library catalogue that contains your unique Library information - you can use it to check what books you have out on loan and on hold, the items you have booked from Short Loan Collection and your reading history. From here you can also renew your books online.
To make use of many of the services available on the catalogue you will need your library barcode the number on the front of your student or staff card and a password. To set up your password select My Account Login from the bottom of the catalogue home page. The following screen appears:
Type in your surname, barcode and leave the password box blank then click on Submit. You will then be asked to fill out another form with your name and barcode and then type in your password. Students should enter your network password, staff should select a password.
If you forget your password, or enter an incorrect password you will get a message 'Invalid PIN' on attempting to login. If this happens you can choose to set a new password. Select the "Forget your Password?" link on the My Account login screen. You will be asked to enter your name and barcode (the number above the barcode on your student ID card), and then a message will be sent to your University email address, this message will include a link to a web page where can create a new password for My Library Record. If you need any further help go to the Lending Services desk on Level 2 of the Library or email: firstname.lastname@example.org.
When logged in you will see your name appear at the top right of the screen. Click on your name to access your account. You will then see a screen similar to the one shown below.
