The Faculty of Health Sciences and Sport is seeking to appoint a full-time senior lecturer with expertise in the field of mental health and/or mental health nursing, or in a closely aligned allied health professional area. The appointee will contribute to research programmes and to undergraduate and postgraduate nursing programmes. Applicants should have up to date specialist knowledge of contemporary nursing practice, policy and health and social care settings. Applicants are expected to research and teach within a multidisciplinary environment and be strongly committed to improving the student experience while working collaboratively with internal and external partners to achieve high quality research.

We are seeking two motivated, enthusiastic and talented individuals to join the Faculty of Health Sciences and Sport who can help us continue to build on our success. We are particularly keen to hear from individuals with expertise in mental health and/or learning disabilities.
As a lecturer in the Faculty of Health Sciences and Sport you will play a key role in enhancing our teaching, scholarly and research expertise in nursing, health and social care integration. You will be a qualified nurse, allied health or social care professional with expertise in the field of mental health and/or learning disability, with experience to work in a “teaching and research”, or “teaching and scholarship” position. It is expected you will make a significant contribution to our BSc (Hons) Nursing programmes as well as contribute to other degree programmes at undergraduate and postgraduate level, particularly relevant to mental health. Depending on the role - Teaching and Scholarship or Teaching and Research - you will be expected to contribute to subject, professional or pedagogy research and teaching that recognises your professional sphere of expertise and supports the high quality research portfolios within the Faculty.
