Breagha was a Mental health Nursing graduate who graduated in our November 2011 ceremony at Highland Campus.
The 23 year-old, who went on to work with NHS Highland at New Craigs (Craig Phadrig) Psychiatric Hospital, said she was “shocked and surprised” when she was told of the honour.
The former Charleston Academy pupil added: “I am absolutely delighted. It is a lovely reward for my three years of hard work and studies to be presented with this award. My family are all very proud of my achievement.”
Breagha was nominated for the award by her tutor for her dedication and hard work during her placements, which included stints at New Craigs and Braeside Day Hospital.
The award-winning nurse said: “I loved all of my placements as I really learned a lot. My mentors were amazing – really supportive."
