Graduation ceremonies are formal occasions and therefore unsuitable for small children and babies. If possible, we ask that you make alternative arrangements.
We do however understand that this is not always possible. So, if you have a guest under school age, then we will ask your party to sit at the end of an aisle or near an exit so that the child can be taken outside should they become restless. Of course, you can return to the ceremony hall when the child is quiet. We would appreciate your co-operation in this matter.
Please note that every guest, including small children, must be in possession of a ticket. Under no circumstances may a child cross the stage with a graduating parent.
|Is this a private event?||Graduands, guests and staff may attend by invitation only. However, all graduands and guests should be aware that graduation ceremonies and receptions are regarded as public events, the names of graduands are published in the graduation programme and images taken at our graduation ceremonies will often be used in University webpages and publications.|
