7.30PM - 9.00PM
Speaker: Professor Roger Crofts

Venue: Logie Lecture Theatre, University of Stirling, FK9 4LA

You are invited to a series of public talks given by Inspiring People.

Lots of changes are occurring to Scotland's nature: some good, some appalling and some indifferent.  What or who is the problem: government and its agencies, lack of public interest, wrong land owners, local communities not given enough say? What does or what should the Future hold? All of these issues will be discussed in a wide ranging talk with lots of examples of Sotland's nature and landscapes.

Professor Roger Crofts CBE has spent his career within the public sector as a research worker, as a Government adviser and administrator, and as the leader of SNH. He is now an environmental strategy and policy adviser, charity volunteer, writer and speaker working in Scotland, Iceland and around Europe.

RSGS Inspiring People talks are open to all. This year’s talks programme is being run in partnership with Tiso, the outdoor retail specialist. Entry is £10 for adults, £8 for Tiso Outdoor Experience cardholders, and free for RSGS members, students and U18s
