6.00PM - 8.00PM
Speaker: Garry Lace, Honorary Professor at the University of Stirling
Venue: University Court Room, University of Stirling
A broad spectrum of leading figures representing private, public and third sector organisations, including many alumni, will be in attendance alongside University students to listen to Garry deliver his industry masterclass on 'The long and the short of leadership'. He will look at the two different types of leader that have emerged in the world today and why they both matter. With examples taken from the worlds of sport, politics, business and education, Garry has promised to give everyone there invaluable help with their life, their exams and their future career.
Garry graduated in English from Manchester University and joined the Saatchi and Saatchi graduate training programme in 1990. He went on to be the CEO of three of London’s biggest advertising agencies (but not at the same time!). In between his time in advertising, Garry ran a media company and worked for one of the biggest mid-market Private Equity Funds in Europe. In 2009, he founded (Beta), a data, digital and content company. Most recently he co-founded a growth and innovation company called Three Little Things which specialises in five key sectors including education, media and the arts. In October 2015, he was appointed Honorary Professor of the Management School at Stirling University.
