The University is pleased to welcome you to a special event with one of the world’s greatest racing drivers, the legendary Sir Jackie Stewart OBE.  

Having retired as an Olympic-class shot, Sir Jackie became an F1 driver. He competed between 1965 and 1973, and won three World Drivers' Championships, earning him the nickname 'The Flying Scot'.  In 2009, he was ranked the fifth greatest Formula One driver of all time by journalist Kevin Eason. Sir Jackie is now President of Dyslexia Scotland, and the Founder and Chairman of the Grand Prix Trust.  Sir Jackie received an honorary degree from the University of Stirling in 2001, the same year he received his knighthood for services to motor racing. His talk is entitled The Challenge of Winning.
