11.00AM - 1.00PM
Venue: Atrium, Andrew Miller Building, University of Stirling
The Sanshui (literally Mountain-Water or ‘landscape’) tradition of painting in China has developed over 1500 years. This open event sees the two artists, one Scottish and one Chinese moving between east and west landscape ink/paper techniques to create a special Stirling Shanshui painting on paper in front of a live audience!
There will be an opportunity in the second half of the workshop to undertake a practical exercise with the artists undertaking the basic techniques used in Chinese Ink Painting. Places for this element of the workshop are limited - they will be allocated on a first come first served basis on the day.
