9.00AM - 5.00PM

Venue: The Stirling Court Hotel, University of Stirling

We invite you to attend the forthcoming conference on last year's independence referendum.  The 2014 Scottish independence referendum was one of the most significant events in the UK that year and its impact on politics is ongoing.

This conference is part of the Television framing of the 2014 Scottish independence referendum research project, supported by the ESRC Future Research Leaders Scheme and a full programme is available to view here.

In addition, an exhibition of stills from the coverage of the referendum on television will be hosted in the Pathfoot building in September and October 2015.  The exhibition is based on findings from Dr Marina Dekavalla's research and illustrates the different frames through which television coverage of the referendum defined what the referendum decision was about.

For further information, contact Dr Marina Dekavalla (organiser) at: marina.dekavalla1@stir.ac.uk. Dr Dekavalla is a lecturer in Journalism Studies, Division of Communications, Media and Culture, School of Arts & Humanities, University of Stirling.

Attendance is free, but places are limited. Please email: m.a.buchanan@stir.ac.uk to reserve a place.
