Mail can be dropped off and collected between10.00am -12 midday and 2pm– 3.30pm Monday to Friday. The mailroom, which is located at the Logie Lecture Theatre entrance to the Cottrell Building, is staffed between 8.30am and 5pm Monday to Friday.
With the exception of routine mail deliveries to the Cottrell Building, portering staff are responsible for delivering mail to all other University buildings on campus. Mail deliveries commence at approximately 9.30am Monday to Friday. Collections are made to each delivery point at approximately the same time each day.
All external mail is sent second class unless the envelope is marked otherwise.
It is worth noting that costs are now related to envelope size as well as weight and departments can save money by folding A4 documents into A5 or DL envelopes where possible. Further advice on size- based pricing can be found at:
