Disposing of Waste

University waste is segregated into various streams (see table below) to assist with onward recycling. It will greatly aid the University in achieving its recycling targets and reducing CO2 emissions, if waste is correctly allocated to the relevant stream and cross-contamination avoided.

To request an uplift of an item of waste, please complete the Facilities Request Form and email it to our portering team at portering@stir.ac.uk.

For items that could potentially be re-used or recycled, please refer to โ€˜Recycle furniture or other itemsโ€™.
