MSc Business & Management

Home country: Ghana

I chose to study this course at because I wanted to gain new knowledge and enhance my skills. I am in an industry (engineering), where technical people like me, are lacking when it comes to relevant skills and knowledge in business and management. I was attracted to the Stirling Management School and specifically to the Masters in Business and Management, because of the different areas of business and management offered within the course.

I feel I now have a better understanding of business language. This has been gained from a series of lectures, lots of assignments, group coursework and presentations. I have built a lot of confidence and improved my skills in areas such as time management, leadership and communication. I believe I will be able to transfer these skills and knowledge to the workplace.

I liked the approach used by the teaching staff. They made sure we understood theoretical and real life knowledge. They were also very friendly and willing to help. The use of various forms of assessments such as assignments and group presentations further deepened my understanding of each module. I would advise prospective students to be proactive, dedicate your time to your studies and make use of the very approachable teaching staff. I believe the skills and knowledge I have acquired at Stirling, will make me a “hot cake” in the job market.
