Santa Dash 2014 in support of Strathcarron Hospice

A Santa Dash will be held on campus on Sunday 7 December at 11am in aid of Strathcarron Hospice.

Adults and children over 16 can take part for £10 each, children age 5 to 15 are just £3 and children under 5 are free, or you can get Family Entry for just £25 (2 adults and up to 4 children for family registration call fundraising department 01324 826222).

Adults and children over 16 get a 5-piece Santa Suit, and younger children get a free Santa hat. Tell your friends and colleagues.This event is open to everyone including runners, walkers and families. Prams and buggies welcome.

Many staff have participated in the Couch to 5K group in preparation for this event and we now encourage other staff to join us on the day. Our fund-raising pub quiz night on Thursday 13 November 2014

Staff Charity Quiz 2014 winners

Thanks to all who joined us for our pub quiz on Thursday 13 November in the The Birds & The Bees

This event wasopen to all staff so thanks to everyone who came along last night or bought raffle tickets yesterday. Altogether we raised the fantastic total of £600 for Start Up Stirling and £600 for Connor's Journey

There was also a food collection for Start Up Stirling, thanks for your generous contributions.

The winning team was BYesDes - congratulations!

Staff Charity Rounders Match Success

A big thank you to the 60+ staff that took part in the staff rounders fundraising event.  Eight teams made up from BDSD, the Research Office, Policy & Planning, the Sports Centre, Finance, Psychology, the Library, Commercial Operations, Stirling Court Hotel, School of Health Sciences, Registry and Stirling Management School took part.

£460.00 was raised and this will now be topped up to £1000 by the fund and donated to the UNICEF and Commonwealth Games partnership appeal ‘Put Children First’.  http://www.unicef.org.uk/glasgow2014/

Thanks to the members of staff who’ve now joined the fund.  Thanks also to those some existing members reviewed the sum they currently play. Once again many thanks to all that participated.

Commonwealth Games stars and University staff were all smiles today. 

Members of the Staff Charity Fund presented a cheque for £1,000 for the ‘Put Children First’ Commonwealth Games appeal.  

The money was raised through a staff rounders match and topped up to £1,000 from a donation from the Staff Charity Fund.

The Stirling University Staff Charities Committee will meet in September to allocate around £13,000, gathered thanks to the generosity of the members of the scheme.
