The University of Stirling Students’ Union is an organisation dedicated to Making Students’ Lives Better. The Union is a democratic body led by students, ensuring that at the centre of everything the Union does, there is a beneficial impact on students’ lives.
Student representation is the core of what we are as a Student Union and putting students at the heart of the decision making process is vital to ensure that your interests are championed. Every year you elect student officers to represent your views, to be your voice to the University, to local government and to national policy makers. Through consultation and talking to our members, active campaigning and lobbying decision makers your Union fights to improve your experience and opportunities whilst at University, after graduation and for those students still to come.
Over the next few pages you can find out more about how the Union works for you: from academic representation and support, to Clubs and Socs, Sports Union and award winning facilities. The Union is Your Union so above all, make the most of it and get involved.
'As a student at Stirling, you will always have the chance to shape your degree and your University by working with an institution that listens. There are so many societies and sports clubs to get involved in here it’s difficult to feel alone. No matter where you turn there is always someone with the same interests as you and there is always that support network behind you.'
