Undergraduate accommodation

The University appreciates that moving away from home can be a daunting prospect and therefore provides a guarantee that all students in their first year of study will be provided with accommodation, as long as applications are received by 25 August. Guarantee extends to one offer of accommodation.

All first year students, from any location, will normally be allocated a single study bedroom in a University residence, although in times of high demand students may be required to share a twin room. For Session 2011/12 accommodation available to first year students includes Andrew Stewart Hall, A K Davidson Hall, Geddes Court, Murray Hall. If specified accommodation is full, suitable alternative accommodation will be arranged by the University.

On-campus Halls of Residence are occupied predominantly by students in their first year of study and adult returners may therefore prefer other forms of accommodation.

The Residential Services team is delighted to assist all students with accommodation matters and can also provide a list of private sector contacts for those who wish to make their own arrangements.
