- The three year total project cost is £43 million and is self financing
- This is the largest capital development undertaken by the University since the creation of the campus in the late 1960s/early 1970s.
- The project will create just under 800 new bedspaces and refurbish some remaining accommodation
- Murray Hall, Geddes Court and AK Davidson Hall will be demolished, with the Murray Hall and AK Davidson sites being redeveloped.
- In total, the University currently has 2800 student bedrooms on and off campus
- Accommodation capacity will be maintained as far as possible during the period of the building work
- The three phases will each take around 14 months, with the new accommodation ready for the following academic session.
- The University aspires to cut carbon emissions by 15% in the new accommodation.
