Residences Redevelopment Project

The University has started work on a multi-million pound project to develop high quality residential accommodation for students. This is the largest capital development undertaken by the University since the creation of the campus in the 1960s.

The demolition of some older residences and their replacement with attractive, and contemporary new accommodation will take place over three years.

The project will involve three phases with new accommodation available to incoming students at the beginning of the 2013/14, 2014/15 and 2015/16 academic years. As far as possible, overall capacity will be maintained throughout.
