What struck me most? Besides the warm, almost familial atmosphere of campus life, with the sense of community and tutors who knew every student with all their little quirks...?

Being a 'morning grump' supreme, I suddenly experienced the unheard of: looking forward to waking up every morning and opening the curtains to be blown away, for 5 years without fail without it getting dull, ever. By the view of the hills in their ever changing coats of cloud shadows, or powder sugar snow, or purple heather... longing to go out and up to see them, and being able to do so in between lectures!

No better anti exam anxiety pill has ever been invented than Dumyat and the Touch Hills and the Trossachs. You lived with them like old friends, from your window no matter where you lived, from every classroom, every walk home from Uni or the pub, you always lived with that beauty. That's a luxury which can't be bought and is priceless. I miss it forever, have fond memories forever. Coming to Stirling was the best decision I ever made! It will always be a part of me and that's a great thing.

Thank you - my student pals, staff, hills, clouds, you were great company all of you.
