I remember the legendary Pathfoot discos of the mid '70s when we danced until almost dawn and still managed to get up for an early lecture. They were taken over at sabbatical election times by the candidates all lobbying for votes and performing the most outrageous dance moves to attract attention.

The '70s was a great time to be a student. We had grants in those days and believed we could change the world - Anti Apartheid, Anti Vietnam War, Chile Solidarity- were just three of the student campaigns.

Absolute heaven.
