The Stirling Fund allows graduates to make a special contribution to the University. What’s more, your help has never been more essential. Stirling alumni have been contributing to the future of the University for over a decade.

Contemporary strains on University funding led to the establishment of the Stirling Fund (formerly Annual Fund) in 2001. Already, through the Fund, alumni have made a real impact on University life.

The Stirling Fund can be used to exploit new opportunities and tackle urgent problems as they arise. The Fund’s success is in how it impacts on the lives of students.

Projects include:

  • Updating essential equipment for AirTV, the student-led production company.
  • Providing additional resources for the Library, giving students access to vital textbooks.
  • Support for Student Clubs and Societies, such as the Zambia IDEALS project. This project has partnerships with UK Sport and 6 other sports minded universities across the UK and uses sport to empower, develop and create opportunities for young people in Zambia.

The Stirling Fund gives us the opportunity to give something back. It is a vital and meaningful way to maintain links with the University. As little as £30 would adopt a library book or £2,000 per year could help provide a studentship.

Regardless of the size of a donation, it will be gratefully accepted and put to good use.
