The University of Stirling was the first genuinely new University in Scotland for over 400 years. Founded by Royal Charter in 1967, we retain our pioneering spirit and a passion for excellence in all we do. The University is located just two miles from the centre of Stirling, which received city status in 2002. A fascinating mix a of old and new, Stirling has a reputation as one of the most attractive places to live in the UK.
