The Pathfoot Project

Every year the Art Collection works with the students on the MLitt in Creative Writing programme. After touring the artwork on display, they compose written pieces reflecting the exhibition themes. We publish these in a booklet, alongside some of the pictures that have provided inspiration.

Similarly, Masters composition students at the Royal Conservatoire in Glasgow visit Pathfoot, and then compose pieces of music in response to what they have seen, to be played by the Edinburgh Quartet, one of Britain’s foremost chamber ensembles.

These distinctive, individual reflections in the form of words and music are performed before a live audience at our annual Open Day.
